We proudly wear our platypus emblem, a symbol of our commitment to caring for the environment. Through our sustainability program, we learn all about the platypus and how to protect these unique furry creatures and their natural habitat.

For the past 20 years, our Year 3 and 4 students have partnered with Healesville Environment Watch, a local community conservation group, to take part in an ongoing revegetation project along the Watts River. In addition, Year 4 students regularly investigate the health of our local waterways by researching water quality and studying the invertebrate life found in the water.

Our school also has veggie gardens, where classes grow fresh produce to use in cooking activities. We even keep chickens!

Each week, students take turns on a roster to collect eggs, care for the chickens, building responsibility and a hands-on connection to sustainable living.
