Our vision is the heart of our school. At Healesville Primary School we inspire all students to be curious, creative and engaged lifelong learners. We develop resilient, confident and respectful students who have the necessary skills to be a valuable member of their community.

We have four core values. These are: We are always LEARNING, we show RESPECT, we are part of a COMMUNITY and we show CONFIDENCE. These values form the basis of our behaviour program of School Wide Positive Behaviour Support, which is consistent across the school.  Our learning environments are calm and orderly providing everyone with the best opportunity to learn.

Teaching and learning at HPS is driven by highly dedicated and passionate teachers, that have high expectations and strive for all students to reach their full potential. We pride ourselves on providing point of need explicit teaching.

HPS has strong ties to the Indigenous history and culture of the Wurundjeri people of Healesville. We are fortunate to have a local elder who teaches our students Cultural Education which incorporates the Woi wurrung language.

At HPS we have a strong emphasis on Wellbeing. We have a Wellbeing Officer and Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader to support our students and families should the need arise. Our Positive Education program fosters a sense of connectedness and belonging to our school. Through this program, our students develop relationships with teachers other than their own class teacher and students from other classes across the school.

Together we make a difference is our motto, we know how important a strong partnership between home and school is. We value and trust these relationships and are incredibly proud of our supportive community.
